Spiritual Liberty!
2 Corinthians 3:17 "...and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."
Every born again believer should understand that by repenting of our sins and relying upon the shed blood of Jesus Christ, there is atonement and liberty from sin!
Once we have been born of the Spirit, we begin to walk in the spirit and become a holy vessel used by God. The Lord places His Spirit within us for a purpose. Our purpose is to give honor and glory to him through our obedient lifestyle. Not only do we bring honor to God through abstaining from sin, but we bring honor to God by being an instrument through which others are touched. The anointing in our lives is precious!
As we begin to step out for God, opposition is sure. The enemy presents himself in many ways. He tries to convince us we aren't needed. He tells us we won't be accepted. Too often we listen to his lies. But there is something about a "Spirit Filled" service that helps us to overcome our inhibitions. There is something about the Spirit of God that brings unity in our worship.
The Spirit of God brings a boldness that empowers us to fulfill our respective roles.
The only way that a "Spirit Filled" church can be effective is if we take our liberty in God. Too often you may leave defeated, because God has spoken something into your spirit to do and you hesitate. Someone has the key to every service and many times it is not someone on the platform. As a church, let us endeavor to follow the mind of the Spirit of God in every service and walk in the liberty His Spirit brings.
1 Samuel 15:22 "...behold to obey is better than sacrifice."
